how to add a data field into an existing data mapper

Hi,

I have added a new field to my data file (.dat) and try to add it into an existing datamapper and extract the value. Not sure how to?

Simply add the new data to your Datamapper.

then add that field the same way you did before for the other fields. If you mapping is complex, make sure you follow the logic of your Steps pane. After that, it should be a simple matter of select, drag and drop.

Thanks, but the steps are very complicated and I don’t want to re-do it. I just want to add that field to first step (extract billing header). Still not sure how?

Ok, I seemed to drag it into the records as a new field, but the field name is defaulted to Field1 and is trying to rename it…
