GS1 Datamatrix FNC1

Hi there

I’m creating a GS1 datamatrix barcode, however the scanner is coming back with a fail result as below:

GS1 Header Fail

Required at beginning of data

Does the PlanetPress Connect Designer automatically add the correct FNC1 symbol when the GS1 datamatrix barcode type is selected? If not, how can I add this symbol to the barcode result?

Hi,

To obtain the FNC1 symbol, simply add “~1” in the prefix or in front of your data if you are in Expand mode.

I’ve tried that here and it works when that is added.
