Failure uninstalling PlanetPress Connect 1.1.0

Hi,

I’m trying to update Connect from 1.1.0 to 1.4.1 but the update fails as it tries to uninstall the old version. The error log shows the following:

2016-08-08 11:10:05,975 ERROR : Service cannot be stopped (exit value = 2 - “NET STOP OLConnect_MySQL”)
2016-08-08 11:10:06,007 ERROR : An invocation target exception occurred. An error occurred while unconfiguring the items to uninstall : null
2016-08-08 11:10:06,007 INFO : Uninstall Rollback not yet available.

I’ve tried uninstalling the old version manually but I get the same error. The database has been removed so 1.1.0 doesn’t work anymore.

I’m using Windows 7 SP1 64-bit.

Dear user,

the issue is related to the missing MySQL database and the related service. In version 1.1.0 the installer tries to uninstall these and runs into the error you get.

Can you please contact OL support, there is a small cleanup tool available, which allows to remove all remnants of old Connect installations, so that you can then install a newer version.
