Email content sent to sender

Hi, I have a problem with email context in OL-Connect.

When I use a email context in a workflow, the email is sent to the address that I specified in the “Sender Address” field and not to the address that I specified in the data-mapper.

If I made a preview in the designer, the “To” field is populated with the correct value.

Is this a bug or I something wrong?

Also in the designer, if I made to Send Email from FIle Menu, in the dialog, the “To Email Address” field is not editable, and it take the value that I enter in “From Email Address” field.

Thanks in advance,
Mauro

Good morning Mauro,

Just in case … have you unchecked the box: Send emails to sender (test mode) ?

To edit the “To email address”, go to the script pane and open the corresponding script. In this case is : To!

Regards,

Check these images:

Hello Isabelle,
Yes, the box “Send emails to sender (test mode)” is unchecked.
I’m customizing the websales demo that I’ve downloaded from the site, and the To script in the script pane has this properties:
Name: To
Selector: meta[name=email-to] (Not editable!)
Field: email
Format: None
The value from the sample data file is retrieved correctly if I click on the “preview” tab, but in the process the mail is sent to the same address I write in the “From Address” configuration.

Regards,
Mauro

Sorry, I’ve commented out your previous post …
The box is unchecked and the script is the same as your.

Hello,

What seems to be the case is that the copy of PlanetPress Connect is an evaluation copy (not a full production one). In the case of an evaluation (or demo) you are limited to 1 email for testing (you can send multiple emails but it will only be sent to one recipient).

I hope this helps

JP

Hi Mauro,

the problem is with the license you have. May be you have a Trial license. So, you must have a reseller or product license to be able to send email correctly to address that you specified in the data mapper

Hello, I have checked my license and it is a reseller one.

Any other idea?

Regards,
Mauro

Hello Mauro,

Your send email dialog should look like this :

If it looks like the send test :

Send Test Email Dialog

Then you license is not a reseller lisence.

You can maybe ask to have it reactivated?

JP

It’s very strange.

In Send Email I have the “To” field, so my license is not a reseller one.

But if I check the License Manager, it say licenseType: reseller.

Check the image below (some data is missing)

I have tried to repeat the activation step, but with no luck.

Regards,
Mauro

Mauro,

There has been a misunderstanding on my part on reseller licences.

Reseller and evaluation copies are blocked to one recipient (the sender.). It is not a bug. I don’t know if in future releases this will be changed.

Sorry for all the running around.

JP

Thanks for your clarification.

I have one more question.
What kind of license can permit to use the fully functionality of the “Create Email Content”?

In my case the component is basically useless.

Mauro
