The business that I work for currently uses Planet Press for most of our business related printing, I am trying to increase my knowledge to fully utilize all of Planet Press’ capabilities but don’t really know where to start. Currently I can make datamappers, templates, adjust the workflow, etc. but I don’t have a deep understanding of much of the terminology that I see in the OL Learn forums and How-tos in regards to many of the tools and scripting. Are there any base-level concepts that I should study that would help me, I don’t have any formal training in any programming languages for instance.
I think the best place to start it to watch the video tutorials, which cover everything from the very basic to the more complex aspects of OL Connect: go to Welcome student - OL® Learn and click on the Tutorials menu near the top of the page.
Sadly, some of those videos still feature me as an against-his-will presenter, but don’t be deterred by it, the rest of them are really good…
