Detail table corrupt output when it spans over 5 pages exactely

I have problems in a job where i use a detail table that is variable in number of rows each recepient should recieve. The job is printed on A4 and fails if the detail table spans over 5 A4 pages exactely, any letters under and over is ok. The result if the document is exactely 5 pages is that it will chop off the last rows and spread that over several pages and at the end it will add 1 blank page + two pages with an empty table.
The strange here is that it only happens with records that is 5 pages, every records that is 1-4, 6— is ok.

the preview in the designer also show this problem so it is not only when printing.

Any suggestions anyone?

Hi @Vidar_S,

Can you let us know please which version of the Connect Designer application you have installed? You can check which version of the Connect Designer application you have installed via: Connect Designer > Help > About PlanetPress Connect Designer…

Can you also let us know if it is possible for you to share both the Data Mapping Configuration file and Template file whereby both files don’t contain sensitive information?

Hi Marten,
the version is: 2020.2.1.67630.

I have prepared some anonymous files. See uploaded files.Test_letterhead.pdf (50.1 KB) Test1.OL-datamapper (15.9 KB) Test1.OL-template (56.1 KB) Test1_adresses.zip (12.2 KB)

Hi @Vidar_S,

Thank you for sharing the requested information and resources.

Can you also please share the PDF output file please (in case it is PDF output)?

For your interest: I am not able to reproduce the mentioned situation when I open the shared Connect resources via the PReS Connect Designer version 2021.2.1 application. I’m getting the following PDF document as result, when I run a print job via the PReS Connect Designer application: test_exact-5-pages.pdf (37.6 KB)

Hi Marten,
here is testprint pdf, an I have also uploaded a screenshot so you see my designer preview also.

Test1.pdf (63.8 KB)

Hi @Vidar_S,

Can you let me know please if it is possible for you to upgrade PlanetPress Connect to version 2021.1.1 or later? The reason why I am asking this is because I am able to reproduce the reported incident when I open the shared Connect resources in the version 2020.2.1 PlanetPress Connect Designer application and go to record 4 but I am not able to reproduce the reported incident when I do the same in the version 2021.1.1 PlanetPress Connect Designer application.

The reported incident seems to occur when the HTML-elements which are placed before the Table-element does have a total height (incl. margins) which is greater than or equal to 448px

It seems that the reported incident is a issue which does occur in version 2020.1 of PlanetPress Connect and that it has been solved in version 2021.1.1 of PlanetPress Connect (internal reference: SHARED-79338).

Hi Marten,
good to hear that you was able to reproduce the fault so we know it is solved in the new version. We have downloaded the new version and will install this afternoon.

Hi Marten,
new version fixed the problem.
Thank you for your support.
