Data Model tab in designer

Since updating to v.2018.2.1 I have had to “start” the data model tab in designer manually each time when loading a template. Is there an easy fix to have this pinned by default, as was the case in previous versions?

I’m suspecting its just a bug at my end but any help would be appreciated!

Reset All Warnings dialog.

Go to Window menu->PreferencesGeneral. The button is at the bottom of the right panel.

I’m not sure which button you are referring to?
To clarify, each time I open a template I need to go to Window - Show View - Data Model in order for that tab to become “accessible”. On previous versions it was always there as default.

Apologies I hadnt noticed the “Reset All Warnings” instruction. It made no difference however!

Try Window->Reset Perspective.

Tried that as well Sharne. It just doesn’t retain the Data Model tab at all when changing between templates.
I’ve also tried running the program as administrator in case it couldn’t overwrite some kind of .ini file or something but doesn’t help either :-/

That’s a weird bug then. OL is gonna have to help you further. Have you opened a support ticket with OL so they can perhaps remote access your system to take a look? I think that would be best. Or a reinstall of Connect. I see PlanetPress Connect 2018.2.1 offline installer is available on the activation’s website.

Hope you get sorted soon.

Regards,
S

Yeah I think i’ll raise a ticket - not keen on re-installing as there’s usually always issues :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll post back here if/when I get a solution in case anyone else has this problem in the future. Thanks for your input though!
