I need to construct a pcl print job and then modify the PJL to insert one line. Search and replace should be able to do this easily. I have sent to a winprint queue and looked at the job in the held queue, and it looks right. I then have an input set to pick up using that queue as the input (same queue as output, then later as input - just to make it go through the PCL driver.). However, this does not seem to work. I get the raw XML that was the input to the process, not the job. What’s happening here?
I don’t see that what I was trying will work. Setting the windows print queue as input breaks using it for output. The solution is to set the “create output” plugin to make PCL and set the output to a folder, then use the folder as input.
That seems to work.
