Can a Designer Template Be Converted from 2018.1 to 1.8

We recently upgraded a PlanetPress Connect server from version 1.8 to version 2018.1

Saving a 1.8 template in Designer 2018.1, the following appears:

After a template has been converted from 1.8 to 2018.1, is there a way to convert the template from 2018.1 back to 1.8?

Also, will all future versions released on a bi-annual basis exhibit the same version conflict?

For example: Templates created in 2018.1 (released May 2018), but opened/saved in 2018.2 (releases on November 2018) would only be accessible in 2018.2?

Not necessarily. It depends on whether we implemented breaking changes in the format of the Template.

We are looking into implementing an option that would allow you to save a template using a previous version’s format, but I can’t promise it will be implemented in the next release.
