Added barcode on each page but lost lost all original texts

Hello,

As a starter with PlanetPress, I would like to get some expert help please.

I have a four page PDF and there is a barcode on the first page. I want to read the barcode from the first page and then put a new barcode on each pages.

I have created one design document and a workflow.

The design document is to add a barcode on a page.

The workflow has main tasks below:

  1. Create metadata
  2. Barcode Scan (Process by file)
  3. Create PDF (By the design document)
  4. Send to Folder

There are two issues:

  1. The output PDF only has the new barcode on each page but lost all original texts.

  2. For the Barcode Scan task:
    If set process by page, there will be an error when running to second page -
    W3931: Error setting barcode information in metadata: The specified index is out of bounds; index 1 was specified but there are only 1 items
    Barcode Scan: W1603 : Plugin failed - 18:47:01 (elapsed time: 00:00:15:594)

May I have some help please?

I’m no expert but when you create your document with the new barcodes, you have to set each page of the original PDF as the background of the new document. There are PressTalk functions that can help you achieve that automatically.
